Getting started with therapy is already hard enough. Here's a clear picture of what services cost and how coverage works — so that money isn't one more thing standing in the way.
Partnership Health Plan of California (PHC) is a managed care plan that administers Medi-Cal benefits for qualifying California residents in certain counties, including Nevada County and surrounding areas. If you or your child has Medi-Cal and you're in a PHC-covered county, you likely have PHC coverage — even if you haven't heard it called that before.
Not sure if you have PHC? Check your insurance card — it should say "Partnership HealthPlan of California" or "PHC" on it. You can also call the member services number on the back of your card to confirm.
Ask about your coverage →For clients without Partnership Health Plan coverage, sessions are billed at the standard private pay rate. There is no additional fee for Minecraft therapy — the platform, access, and setup are all included.
Standard 50-minute individual therapy session. Telehealth or in-person. Couples sessions also $170.
Minecraft Education Edition access is included at no additional charge.
A sliding scale may be available for clients who need it. The goal is to make this work accessible — cost shouldn't be the barrier. Reach out to have that conversation.
Ask about sliding scaleNo extra charge for Minecraft. Minecraft therapy sessions are billed exactly like standard therapy sessions — there is no separate fee for the game, the platform, the private world setup, or any in-game materials. What you see above is what you pay.
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs before beginning services. If you are uninsured or choosing not to use insurance, a Good Faith Estimate is available upon request. Please ask about it before your first appointment.
A Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to use services.
